The person in this position uses a computerized cutter to cut specified fabric based on cutting design requirements following all established work and safety practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Spread fabric rolls for laser and multi-ply cutting machines
- Perform preventive and regular maintenance on cutting and operating heads, notifying supervisor of any concerns.
- Place inspected fabric on the table and prepare it to be cut per customer specifications.
- Cut fabric per cutting design requirements, adjusting parameters as needed.
- Move cut fabric to the appropriate table, stacking cut pieces according to the procedure.
- Communicate needs to complete the order with Digital Print Operator/ Production Supervisor
- Maintain steady, consistent, and efficient workflow

Job Title: Dye Sublimation operator
Description: Ziel is expanding its factory in Newburgh NY to include dye sublimation operations. We are looking for a colleague that is excited to be part of setting up and running the sublimation unit. The operator will be responsible for all aspects of production involving the sublimation process from the input of design files to the output of sublimated cut bundles of fabric that will exceed our customers’ expectations. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working with apparel and art, optimizing the flow of orders through their production unit, and likes to work with their hands and with tech simultaneously.

- Input of marker files and rip across various printer systems.
- Adjustments of color to hit Ziel standards within allotted tolerance levels.
- Preparation of various fabric compositions for sublimation.
- Oversight of printer, heat-press and cutter operations.
- Plan and execute maintenance and independently troubleshoot and solve any technical or mechanical problems. Training will be provided.
QUALIFICATIONS
