On November 25, 2025, the Orange County IDA’s state monitor, Brian Sanvidge of Anchin Block & Anchin, attempted to veto OCIDA’s recent approval of financial incentives for a planned Amazon fulfillment center in the Town of Wawayanda that would create over 2,000 jobs and generate tens of millions of dollars in new property tax revenue for our communities and our schools.
While the attempted veto is invalid, as it was issued after the state-mandated 72-hour deadline, it raises serious concerns about the integrity, competence, and true “independence” of this monitor.
