OC Open For Business

November 25, 2020

#OCOpenforBusiness: In March, the Orange County Industrial Development Agency, Orange County Funding Corporation, and The Accelerator launched an aggressive COVID-19 Economic Recovery Program to create economic stability and hope. Through the recovery program, we have helped businesses train, rehire and recruit employees; identify and solve supply chain and inventory shortfalls; clean and disinfect their facilities; and apply for federal, state, and local grant/loan applications. In conjunction with this hands-on assistance, the Orange County Funding Corporation established a loan program to support small businesses impacted by the pandemic. Fifty loans were distributed to County based businesses.

We encourage local businesses to use the Orange County IDA and The Accelerator as a resource to reboot their operations. In addition to our traditional Accelerator, our Accelerator Without Walls (AWOW) program brings onsite services to the support of existing companies located anywhere in Orange County, NY, at no charge. This support leverages our team of scientists, engineers, and business experts to assist clients in areas such as, but not limited to, production support, product and business development support, rehabilitation, stress solutions, efficiency evaluation, investment readiness, promotional assistance, and market research.

Helping businesses weather the storm, pivot to new ventures, and develop relationships with fellow businesses has made us proud to be a part of the Orange County business community. In the last nine months alone, we’ve had the pleasure of working with over 150 new and existing clients. The #OCOpenforBusiness campaign features many of the businesses we’ve connected with and that continue to keep our local economy strong. Please patronize these businesses, help us acknowledge them, and spread the word. We’re here for you Orange County and our support is unending.
